AERO COMMISSIONS AERO-AUCTION

The Aero-Auction will be holding an auction for used aircraft on each day of AERO. The demand for the Aero-Auction, which offers a new and exciting way of promoting and selling an aircraft, was clear, and consequently the auction will open new opportunities for both the buyer and seller.

In the current competitive climate in General Aviation, the Aero-Auction offers every participant the chance to determine the price for an auctioned object – often leading to bargain buys!

In the USA such auctions for General Aviation have successfully been staged for many years now, and according to Peter von Zschinsky, auctioneer, who for the past three years has successfully held live auctions online, there is no reason why an Aero-Auction can’t also be an ideal platform for the purchase and sale of aircraft and products in Europe too.

Prices on the market today for used aircraft reflect many different expectations; Seller and buyer, owner or experts have different views on the value of an aircraft. For a flourishing second-hand aircraft market, the Aero-Auction can potentially be a vastly important partner for purchase and resell. An auction is an occasion conducted between one private party and another, each party having a clear understanding of the value of the item for auction. Essentially, the auction is ruled by the law of ‘offer and demand’.

From used Jets to Helicopters, Gliders and Ultra lights to single and twin piston aircraft, Classic old-timers and general products – everybody at the AERO can participate in the live auction during the AERO. Latecomers can enlist their aircraft during the AERO and take part in the auction too.

Fuss free, all items to be auctioned will be listed in the website of the Aero-Auction prior to AERO, and will then be projected on a big plasma screen at the event. The online listing gives the added advantage to both sellers and buyers, as it will offer opportunity to place offers over the telephone for parties unable to be represented in person at the AERO. Ultimately, the Internet presence broadens the prospects for the Aero-Auction from being a local auction to a global auction.

Participation and conditions

Sellers and Bidders at the Aero-Auction will only be required to pay a commission to Aero-Auction after a successful transaction. Commission is 5% of the auctioned price.

Participation on the Aero-Auction is free of charge for seller and bidder.

If desired sellers may reserve their item to be auctioned on the Internet for the Live Aero-Auction that takes place for the duration of the AERO.
